Famally was created because many parenting spaces cover pregnancy, birth, and postpartum and those parenting spaces don’t fit the journey of a non-birthing family.
If you built your family through adoption, foster care, surrogacy, donor conception, or as a non-birthing partner, we see you.
Now, we’d love to build this with you.
The Famally Parent Advisory Council is a group of non-birthing parents who:
• Share lived experiences with our audience
• Offer insight into what families truly need
• Provide feedback on content and resources
• Help ensure Famally reflects real stories, not assumptions
This is a thoughtful circle of parents helping guide the heart and direction of this work.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for parents who have grown their families through adoption, foster care or foster to adopt, surrogacy, or donor conception.
You don’t need a perfect story or a large platform. Just a lived experience you’re willing to share honestly.
We especially welcome:
• Parents in open adoption
• Families navigating birth family relationships
• LGBTQ+ families
• Single parents
• Parents early in their journey
• Parents years into parenting
Every stage matters.
What You’ll Receive
As a member of the Famally Parent Advisory Council, you won’t just observe. You’ll help shape what this becomes.
A platform to share your story
If you choose, you’ll have opportunities to write and share your experience with our community. Whether it’s navigating open adoption, building through surrogacy, fostering for the first time, or parenting as a non-birthing partner, your story could help another family feel seen and understood.
The ability to recommend trusted providers
Know a therapist who truly understands adoptive families? A lawyer who guided you through surrogacy? A consultant who made foster care less overwhelming? You can recommend professionals to be considered for the Famally directory so other families don’t have to search alone.
A space where your lived experience is respected
Your perspective is foundational here.
A voice in how this community grows
Help us think through what families actually need. What content feels missing? What questions go unanswered? What conversations are overdue? You’ll help guide our growth, tone, and priorities.
